How to make an app

How to build an app

Like every beginner you also have great app idea burning in your brain but you don’t know how to build an app. Well this guide is for you, as we will guide you through the steps on how to make an app, the essentials for what your app process should look like.

We are also pretty much sure that that you have already Googled this topic and have read enough articles to know what you’re looking at and misconceptions about the process. However, you don’t know how to build an app.

Don’t worry; this happens to every beginner who is trying to build an app.

Don’t lose hope and stick with this article which will provide you outline for building your own app from scratch, as well as trying to answer some of the common app development questions you might have.

Step#1 Setting a Goal

When you are planning a goal it’s better that you should step out from technology and grab your pen and paper and define what you want to accomplish.

You will be thinking that I am joking, but I am not.

The starting line in the app Development is pen and papers, not the complex coding and designing.

So it’s better to have a clear picture of what you want because this will help you in making your app alive.

Step#2 Sketch Your Ideas

You will be thinking that now I will tell you to turn on your computer and start to do a sketch of your ideas.

But I will not tell you to turn on your computers because the work of pen and paper has not been over yet, you have to develop your app ideas through pen and paper because it will help you in getting your ideas into the visual presentation and it will also save your time.

Try to sketch every idea which you want in your app.

Step#3 Wireframes

The wait is over now you can turn on your computer because now we will take our sketch and design idea to little more clarity and functionality level.

It is little crucial step because it is the foundation of your app development.

If you don’t know how to create wireframes, don’t worry. There are stacks of wireframe websites which will help you to bring your sketches to digital life.

Check out these wireframe tools here:

Step#4 Research Your Idea

Sorry guys I missed this point this should come before wireframing the design.

I know we all think that our idea is one of a kind, but I suggest you not to think this because it might be possible that someone has already tried your idea and develop an app.

Don’t get upset look at this in two different ways.

  1. You can give up.

  2. You can examine the competition and make your app better.

I will suggest you to pick the second one and read the competition reviews and see what the people like or dislike about the app? Then use the information to your advantage.

So, it’s better to do research on your idea before going through wireframes because it will save your time on an idea that won’t work.

Step#5 Check Your Model, Do An MVP Test

Here what you need to do when you have done with your wireframe create an MVP test for your idea because it will help you to know that what is lacking in your app.

If you think that you need to revise any of the layouts or navigation paths do it.

Don’t waste your time with people who will tell you, “Wow, that’s neat.”  Seek out from those critics.  Brutal honesty is crucial at this phase.

Your end goal with this step is to finalize your apps structure and foundation.

Step#6 Start Building

After getting the green flag from the MVP test now it’s time that you should start building your app by putting your entire puzzle together.

First, your developer will set up your servers, databases, and APIs.  If you are using a quality do-it-yourself app builder, this will be done for you.

Do not forget to reflect on the feedback you got from your testers.  Modify the apps functionality to reflect any changes you made based on your first phase of testing.

At this point, it’s time to sign up for the stores.

You need to create an account with Google Play and Apple so that you can get your app on the market.  It may take a few days to go through the process, so don’t delay this step.

Step#6 Design Your UI

The user interface is very important part of your app because people are attracted to how the thing look and how easy they are to navigate.

So, now it’s time that we should employ a designer to create our UI.

Keep in mind the feedback you got from the MVP test during the design process and design according to that because you are building the app for user, not for you.

Step#7 Test That App

Now it’s time to do the second round of testing and it is important too because in this round you will have both a functioning app as well as a user interface to test. All the screens of your app should properly work at this point, and your app should be visually appealing as well.

They will help you examine the final layers, interactions, and design of your app as well.  You can use the information you get from this testing phase to help you move forward.

You may be scratching your head and asking, “Didn’t I do this with my wireframe?”  The answer is, “Well, kind of.”  While this may seem similar to your wireframe, it’s a lot more detailed.  Your wireframe was just the skeleton of your app.  At this point, your app should be both aesthetically pleasing as well as functioning.

But remember that you should ask the same people who viewed your app in the MVP test.

Step#8 Modify and Adjust According to the Test

After completing the second round of test, if you found few tweaks then you should and ask the developer and your designer to make any changes if it is valuable to your app.

Step#9 Beta Testing

After completing the entire test and making change according to it, now it’s time to examine how our app is going to function in the live environment.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to do Beta testing.

Android will help you, it makes this process simple. You can simply upload your app file any android device and test in the live environment.

From here on out in your Android app development process, you can monitor your apps progress from your device.

Hey! We have made it to the finish line after completing this entire step now it’s time to share your idea with the world and grow your user base and increase your downloads!

Hopefully, all this step will help you in making your first APP.
